Brand Strategy & Design Pricing
Branding for New Businesses
What does it cost to work with me?
Get clear on what your business needs to say.
We'll work through your business, customers, and competition, then turn what we learn into a practical strategy and messaging guide you can use across your website and marketing.
We can price a larger project in stages so you can decide what to do now and what can wait. If you’re unsure which service fits, tell me what you’re trying to get done.
Logo & Visual Identity
Starting at $6,000
You can hire me for logo and visual identity design on its own. I quote Brand Strategy & Messaging separately.
What’s included
Creative direction. We’ll start with a questionnaire and a conversation about your business and customers. I’ll look at how your competitors present themselves. Then we’ll agree on a short brief to guide the design.
Logo design. I’ll show you three ideas as pencil sketches, then develop the one we choose into a main logo and an alternate for spaces that need a different shape. You’ll get files for print and web.
Favicon. A small version of your mark for your website’s browser tab.
Color palette. Main and supporting colors chosen to fit how you want the business to come across, with color codes for print and screen.
Typography. Fonts that work with your logo, with guidance on which to use for headlines and which to use for longer text.
Design previews. Two or three examples that show how the logo, colors, and fonts could work together on pieces you use, like a proposal cover or a sign.
Brand guidelines. A PDF guide with examples of how to use your logo, colors, and fonts. Your team or an outside designer can refer to it when making something new.
Plan on three to four weeks, with feedback at the agreed times.
Design work you can add. I quote finished business cards, social media templates, and editable presentations separately.
Brand Strategy & Messaging
Starting at $4,500
We’ll meet for four one-hour sessions. I’ll put the decisions we make into a written guide called the Brand Bible.
What’s in the guide
Who you need to reach. Which customers you’re trying to reach and what matters to them when they’re deciding whether to buy.
Why they’d choose you. What you do differently and the examples that back it up.
What to say first. Your main message, the points that support it, and a short way to introduce the business.
How your business should sound. Examples your team can draw on when writing an email, proposal, or page on your site.
I’ll walk you through the guide so you can use it yourself or share it with a writer.

The quote depends on how many pieces or pages you need, what you already have ready, and whether I’ll need to create new artwork.
Website Copywriting
Quoted separately
We start with my Brand Strategy & Messaging service. The writing fee depends on how many pages you need and what each page has to explain.
What you’ll get
A plan for what goes on each page
Headlines and page copy that make the next step clear
Copy we’ve reviewed together, organized by page and ready to share with your website designer
Website Design
Quoted separately
I design the page layouts your web developer will build from. The quote depends on how many pages you need designed and what each page needs to do.
If we’re designing your visual identity, I can use a sample website section to show how the logo, colors, and fonts work together. Finished page layouts are quoted separately.

What’s clear and where customers might get stuck
Specific changes you can make
Which changes I’d tackle first and why
Common Questions
-
Yes. You can hire me for a logo or a layout project on its own. For website copy, we start with Brand Strategy & Messaging.
-
Share what you have. We’ll review it together and see what we can build on. Working with someone new doesn’t automatically mean starting over.
-
You’ll join the key conversations, review the work, and provide feedback at agreed stages. I’ll make clear what needs your attention and when.
Anyone who needs to approve the work should be involved early. If several people are contributing feedback, I’ll ask you to gather their comments together.
-
Tell me what you’re noticing or trying to accomplish. We can discuss an appropriate starting point on our first call.
If you want a written assessment before committing to a larger project, the First Impression Review is another option.
-
Yes. We can scope the work in phases. I’ll explain any decisions that need to be settled first, and we’ll confirm availability and timing when you’re ready for the next project.
You’ll see the price before you decide.
On a free 30-minute call, we’ll talk about what you’re trying to get done and any budget you have in mind. If the project is a fit, I’ll send a written proposal that spells out what’s included, when it can be ready, and what it costs.
For quoted projects, work starts once you approve the proposal and pay a 50% deposit.
